Todd Prosan is #MadeForKnoxville.

From employee to co-owner, Todd has been an integral part of building on the legacy of ‘58 Foundations & Waterproofing.

Todd recognized the need for trustworthy companies in the waterproofing industry when he saw his parents struggling to find a reputable contractor for their home. Presented with the opportunity to revive a company he once worked for, Todd jumped at the chance to join the leadership team for ‘58 Foundations & Waterproofing. In 2018, Todd Prosan joined forces with co-owner Kevin Coppersmith and Richard Fencil to revitalize the 60 year old company. Todd brought years of valuable experience to the business, having worked as a chief executive for a number of other companies.

A company built on years of research and trust development, ‘58 Foundations  was already well-established with a reliable track record. Since being under new leadership, ‘58 Foundations & Waterproofing has won numerous awards, including being recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the Fastest Growing American Companies. Todd’s emphasis on honesty and relationship development has bolstered the trust of ‘58ers, homeowners and employees alike.

“As an owner, I now have the opportunity to offer customers consistent pricing with zero pressure.”

In Their Own Words…

My background includes a successful record of accomplishments as the President & Chief Operating Officer for B-Dry, LLC along with previous achievements as the President/VP of Operations for BDS Management Group, VP of Operations for Highway Markings Inc., VP of Operations for Lovell Farms & Envirosafe Labs and Business Development Manager for Professional Manufacturers Representatives.

I had the opportunity to be an employee of this business and now an owner. One of the aha moments was that my parents needed waterproofing in their home but could not find a contractor that seemed honest and sincere. Every company tried to oversell my parents and inflated the pricing because they had a nice home. As an owner, I now have the opportunity to offer customers consistent pricing with zero pressure. I’m a firm believer that customers want to buy but they don’t want to be sold. And now I have the opportunity to be involved with an organization that puts the customers first.

As a business owner, I have learned to… Always be hiring. I wish I knew this sooner. And that enthusiasm and passion go a long way; skills can be developed. It’s all about the people. Make your passion about hiring and developing people and the impact will be amazing on your business and your work-life balance.
