Taryn McLean is #MadeForKnoxville.

Taryn McLean wanted to accomplish two things in 2014: help others and create a successful side hustle. These goals, alongside a passion for organization and drive to provide for her family, inspired Taryn and Caroline Smith to create Help You Dwell.

Founded over a cup of coffee, Help You Dwell is a woman-owned and operated organization and relocation service. The 21 ladies that make up the team are passionate about helping their clients reclaim their freedom and peace of mind in their space.
Taryn and her team have served not only in East Tennessee, but also in Nashville, Atlanta, Asheville and Florida. Help You Dwell looks forward to serving more clients in their homes and workplaces with their professional organizing, move management and estate transition needs.
“Since 2014, we’ve been honored to guide and empower more than 600 clients in the greater Knoxville area to find freedom and peace of mind in their spaces through organization and relocation services. It’s our greatest joy to help you reclaim your home.”

Caroline Smith and Taryn McLean

In Their Own Words

In January 2014, Caroline Smith and I met for coffee in hopes of coming up with a part-time business doing something we both loved, helping folks, and creating some income for our families.
Help You Dwell was born that day and we began serving our first client in February 2014.
If it weren’t for countless friends and family who walked alongside us to guide our business decisions in regards to staffing, marketing, and admin needs, we would never have come so far.
I have been acting CEO for about 4 years now as Caroline has since become a mother of 3 small kids and has little involvement in the business.
Our team has grown to over 20 women from all different life experiences who serve our clients in their homes and workplaces with needs related to professional organizing, move management (packing, coordinating moves, and unpacking), and estate transitions.
We’ve had the great opportunity to work all over East Tennessee as well as Nashville, Atlanta, Asheville, and Florida. Being a Knoxville native myself, I take such joy in serving clients in this city I love. We absolutely love what we get to do!
