More than capturing the products or services they sell, Rachel helps women connect to their own stories and beauty through her imagery. Rachel’s visual stories help female business owners express their true selves, thereby allowing them to connect with their clients in a real way.

Rachel Woods founded Smoke Signal Media with the idea that stories — both spoken and visual — are the common threads that connect us all.

Through her photography, Rachel creates stunning portraits for women, giving the viewer a glimpse of the soul by capturing each woman’s story and everyday beauty with her camera. She believes that beautiful isn’t a word you should only use for others, and just like in Nature, no one is perfect or the same. To her, each woman’s face is a map of their ancestors and their individual journey, and a blueprint of what makes them unique.

As a self-taught, natural light photographer, Rachel relies on her passion for nature and storytelling to create stunning and emotive photos for her clients.
