Nicolsha Scott & C’erise Wright are #MadeForKnoxville.

One tent, a snowball machine and two single moms in the fight for financial freedom: these are the puzzle pieces that came together in the creation of Yummies, a Knoxville-based concession stand management company. Though the pandemic threw a major curve ball in their plans, these business partners rallied with a new concept.

With a few resources on their hands and Knoxville on their side, co-founders Nicolsha and C’erise took their break for the business world. Today, Yummies provides the Knoxville community with tasty treats from their brick and mortar locations. Nicolsha and C’erise stand as proof that they live in the “city of the entrepreneur.”

Nicolsha Scott and C’erise Wright are Knoxville natives: Nicolsha, a graduate of West High School and C’erise, a graduate of Austin-East Magnet High School. Once their concession stand management business took a huge loss due to Covid-19, they decided to enter an industry that would continue to produce revenue in a pandemic. The two launched Scott&Wright Construction Firm LLC and have propelled themselves forward by seeking education and mentorship through local programs. They have benefitted from construction education courses provided by the Knoxville Urban League, most recently completing courses on blueprint reading, estimating bids, and scheduling, and Nicolsha and C’erise are now both studying to sit for their General Contractors License Exam. They have gained mentorship and guidance through completing KEC’s 100 Knoxville program and most importantly, have developed a drive and passion for building. Together, these two boss moms will do more than survive–they will succeed! Scott&Wright Construction Firm LLC is well on its way to becoming a regionally recognized company!

“We are a witness that Knoxville is the city of the entrepreneur!”

In Their Own Words..

Our businesses are the product of two women determined to establish financial freedom. In 2018, we bought a mobile unit and in June of 2020, we were able to sign a contract with Knox County for Yummies to have two brick and mortar locations. Now, we are both studying to sit for their General Contractors License Exam to grow our business, Scott&Wright Construction, LLC. Together, these two boss moms will do more than survive–we will succeed! Scott&Wright Construction Firm LLC is well on its way to becoming a regionally recognized company!
