Mike and Megan combine their separate skills of contracting and designing to keep Cover Pro Roofing growing, excelling and serving their clients. While they specialize in commercial and residential roofing, they make sure to prioritize work/life balance so that they can be their best for their family, their clients and their community.

In Their Own Words..

A hail storm in 2012 brought us to Knoxville—Mike worked as a project manager for a roofing company in Atlanta who opened a satellite office in Knoxville. And I (Megan) moved from NYC to be with him (we were only dating at the time). Neither of us had ever been to Knoxville before and weren’t sure what to expect. We thought we would only be here for a few months, but then realized what a gem this city is and decided to make Knoxville our home.

Around the same time, Mike (who is a general contractor) decided to start his own roofing company, Cover Pro Roofing. I was still working full time as an art director/designer at the University of Tennessee. A few years later we had our second child and decided to both put our energy and time as a husband/wife team (which is unique in the roofing industry) into building a successful family-owned and operated roofing company.

We have a perfect partnership—Mike is the general contractor/project manager who is always on site making sure jobs are done to the highest standard and I work behind the scenes as a seasoned art director who is developing our marketing strategy to help us grow even more. One of the biggest reasons we love owning our own business is that it has let us create a healthy work/life balance for our family, which is so important to us.
