Megan Prewitt is #MadeForKnoxville.

Megan has a secret recipe for her comforting candles, and while that’s undisclosed, it’s no secret what that recipe creates: a sense of home. Family Tree Candle Company candles aren’t your ordinary candles — they’re a product of family and love, a special scented memory, a form of self-care.

Megan’s products are created with only top quality ingredients and a healthy home in mind, and they are always “laced with southern grace and charm.” When you light a Family Tree Candle Company candle in your home, you’ll be filling your space with love from its creators and inviting in happiness, mindfulness and health of your own.

“Our candles are born out of a love for family and togetherness, and made to be at the center of the moments and memories we treasure. We understand that scent is personal and want to thank you for inviting us to share in your special moments.”

In Their Own Words..

What started as a Thursday night craft in our kitchen, turned into a passion for creating a premium quality candle. As a home fragrance junky, I got tired of spending money on candles that would tunnel and cause black soot all over the jar and surrounding area. After years as a hobby (and a time of research and development), I would eventually make candles my full time career, opening a brick and mortar gift shop in 2019. We support other makers and artisans and they each give back to different charities. Family Tree Candle Company also established the “Candles for a Cause” mission, rotating various organizations with a special candle for purchase, in which a portion of proceeds go back to that charity. Our goal is to “Share the light,” one candle at a time. We received national recognition in 2020 by winning a small business project led by Howie Mandel and our breast cancer awareness candle “Light of Hope,” was featured on the Hallmark channel show “Home&Family.” We are proud to be a maker in Knoxville!
