Derren was in the United States Air Force for 21 years. When it came time to transition out of the military, he knew Knoxville was the best community for his family — it was a place he could both make a difference in and feel at home. 

Derren knows that “veterans make great entrepreneurs,” which is why Veteran Ventures Capital is dedicated to helping them get there.
