Angelyn Nicholson is #MadeForKnoxville.

In 2018—with health, healing and the journey of finding oneself in mind—Angelyn Nicholson left her clinical therapist position to create Color of Kismet: an entire line of intuitively blended essential oils. These oils are designed to heal, protect and encourage others through their spiritual journey. In response to the pandemic, she began hosting classes in her backyard to create a space designed for healing and grounding, despite what was happening in the world.

Nicholson moved to Knoxville for college in the 90s and has since dedicated herself to the Knoxville community. Recently, she has given back to the Knoxville community by gridding, which is a way of directing good energy and intent to regions around you and shifting the energetic vibrations of a space. Nicholson is ready to help others in the community in any way possiblewhether it be through gridding, reiki sessions or her products.

“Gridding is a wonderful way to direct your energy & help focus on your intent. By using the rocks and the natural landscape around you, you become in tune with the Earth and with your higher self. In this state, you can shift the energetic vibration of the entire gridded space.”

In Their Own Words..

I’m Angelyn Nicholson , an energy healer and clinical therapist, and the owner of Color of Kismet. I believe I’m Made for Knoxville because I love my city & I want to help create a healthier, more vibrant community.

I created this business because I started receiving intuitive information in several ways, all of which pointed to energy work & healing with medicinal plants. Since then, I have created an entire line of intuitively blended essential oils designed to heal, protect, and encourage you through your spiritual journey. The blends are deeply rooted in my business & are used during Reiki healing & therapy sessions. They also aid in things like overcoming grief, grounding oneself, or finding balance.

As I transitioned from my job as a therapist in clinical settings into my private practice, I wanted to focus on the intent of valuing my time. For so many years, I was expected to put work before all else & confine myself to the company’s needs. When I began my practice, I broke that cycle and was able to re-prioritize. I knew I wanted to explore the depths of spirituality & plant medicine through my practice. Through years of meditation, I developed the vision of Color of Kismet, and officially began this journey in 2018. I was shown that combining my spiritual and clinical work was needed here. In response to the pandemic, I created an open air classroom in my backyard. I wanted to invite healers & those who need healing to a sacred space where they felt safe regardless of what was going on in the outside world.

One of the ways I have devoted myself to my community is through gridding Knoxville. Gridding is a wonderful way to direct your energy & help focus on your intent. By using the rocks and the natural landscape around you, you become in tune with the Earth and with your higher self. In this state, you can shift the energetic vibration of the entire gridded space. I started this practice in my garden, my lawn, my neighborhood and eventually realized I needed to grid knoxville. With the help of community members, we have been doing that since May of this year.

I’ve loved Knoxville ever since I originally moved here for college in the 90s. I believe this town is meant for great things. Whether that’s through gridding Knoxville, teaching locals to become Reiki Masters, or selling my products to those who need healing, I am here to help.
