With a renovated Airstream and passion for self-care, Amy delivers healing to the workplace.
Battling cancer didn’t just change Amy’s personal life; it revolutionized her career. In her road to recovery, she experienced the powers of bodywork and massage. Desiring to improve quality of life for others, Amy left her CPA job and began a career in therapeutic massage. Her passion for prioritizing wellness and stress relief led her to create Tula Blu Events. Amy and her talented crew of masseuses are able to increase accessibility to wellness by eliminating transportation and scheduling barriers. They help companies promote physical, mental, and emotional health amongst their employees by providing mobile therapeutic massage services at the workplace.
“Massage and bodywork made such a profound difference in my healing journey that I chose to pivot my life and pursue it professionally.”
In Their Own Words…
Tula Blu Events knows even the best days can be stressful. Left untreated, stress takes an unhealthy toll – physically, mentally, emotionally. And yet the pace of our days often relegates self care to the back burner. Wouldn’t it be a relief if self care came to you? That’s the heartbeat of Tula Blu Events. We are a dedicated team of massage therapists passionate about helping work wellness into your day. Tula Blu is a mobile massage studio conveniently delivering the powerful and proven benefits of therapeutic massage to you and your team when and where you need it.
What Led to Entrepreneurship:
The personal big pivot came in my cancer recovery journey. My life running a niche CPA practice (ironically focused on health & welfare benefits) was certainly stressful. Massage and bodywork made such a profound difference in my healing journey that I chose to pivot my life and pursue it professionally.
Fast forward to November 2021… the professional pivot came after almost 2 years of closed doors due to the pandemic. Deciding to forego office space and invest in rehabbing a vintage Airstream as a mobile studio was a huge pivotal leap of faith! We saw that the need for safe, healing touch was greater than ever and believed offering massage at the workplace without having to go in the workplace was a game changer.
Lessons Learned:
You will never, ever, ever have it all together! I used to think as soon as I ‘mastered’ a subject area, I would be ready. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the key to success as an entrepreneur is finding complementary talent who share your passion & vision and desire to journey with you. Each of us working in our strength can achieve so much more together than alone.
