Amy Burritt is #MadeForKnoxville.
Some things in life just pair well together: aged goudas and French Bordeaux, Chardonnay and Gruyere, best friends and business dreams. But a euphoric pairing? Well, that combines all of the above.
While recovering from a double mastectomy, Amy’s best friend Cheri took care of her, and Amy took care of their shared business dreams. Their dreams aged into a west Knoxville cheese shop, the Euphoric Cheese Shop, where Amy and Cheri continue to wedge together the best kinds of pairings.
“We are so excited to dig in and get this new venture off the ground and serve the residents and visitors of Knoxville from our shop!”
In Their Own Words..
I am 37 and was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2020 after having left my job as VP of Communications for a niche marketing firm in May. In August, I had a double mastectomy and my best friend of nearly 20 years, Cheri, was there to help me with all the tasks I couldn’t manage on my own during recovery.
From my recliner, I spent my recovery period making plans to pursue a dream Cheri and I had talked about since the early days of our friendship: starting a business together. In November 2020, we signed a lease on a building and on March 19th, 2021, we opened Euphoric Cheese Shop! We are so excited to dig in and get this new venture off the ground and serve the residents and visitors of Knoxville from our shop!
We carry cheese from local/regional producers, as well as from around the world, plus charcuterie meats, specialty foods, beverages and more — everything you need to make an amazing charcuterie board of your own — plus charcuterie boxes to go. We are located at 139 West End Avenue, Knoxville TN 37934.
