Alex Abell is #MadeForKnoxville

Alex understands the importance of fostering real connections. To him, lunch is an important part of that process.

Lunchpool offers a unique, virtual way for people to connect and gather, which is increasingly important with our new norm. Alex and his team hope to help people build those real connections with others and create a healthier balance in life–all of which is accomplished by simply providing users with an opportunity to chat with lunch buddies.

“The connections formed here, the willingness to spark projects together, and the earnest desire to help your fellow entrepreneur succeed are just a few of the magic ingredients that make Knoxville the collaboration capital of the Southeast!”

In Their Own Words..

My first few entrepreneurial endeavors were a thrilling high, followed by a crashing low. I went into a dark time, having racked up over a hundred thousand in debt across student loans and credit cards. I thought I had nothing to show for it. Flash forward 10 years – after a stint in corporate roles to rebuild my confidence and learn a ton of skills on the job, I was ready to jump back in.

I had some success with the first app we built to connect people in workplaces, but moving to Knoxville was the catalyst that propelled me from startup to profitable growing company.

The connections formed here, the willingness to spark projects together, and the earnest desire to help your fellow entrepreneur succeed are just a few of the magic ingredients that make Knoxville the collaboration capital of the Southeast!

For the future, my team is building an “always-on” virtual space that Knoxville innovators can use to network, connect, explore, and oh – eat lunch together of course! Coming to a web browser near you in 2021!
